This Alstroemeria x hybrida was bought a couple of weeks ago when I found it in a local nursery reduced to £3.50 (apparently they made a mistake with their order and ended up with three times the number that they wanted!). The pot is rather full and they stand about a metre tall.............

@wiseowl - thanks to you and Zigs for the info - I'm unlikely to see it up here then...
@longk - that alstroemeria looks like Indian Summer (has it got brown foliage?). If so, that's a very good price! I thought I did well getting it at £8.99.

Our Indian Summer has been flowering for months. An extremely rewarding plant :dbgrtmb:

One of our cobaeas has grown about 6ft and started flowering whilst another has grown 20ft and not a hint of a flower

The bindweed at the back of our big shrubbery has got lots of flowers. I'll have to fight my way back there and pull them out.

It's 'Summer Breeze'. From what I've worked out it's more or less the same thing with a different marketing name.
The foliage turns a deeper shade of purple as flower buds form and after blooming the stems look as if they die off quickly. This may be because it has been in a pot so far - we'll see next year.
