Thank you zilly, ive placed a cctv camera over the pond, its that what alerted me to the blackbird been there, the images from the cctv camera is very poor I need to buy/make a high resolution one,

The blackbird was at the other side of the pond to start with see picture there's only enough depth for a drink there at the other side where he's having a bath is about a inch,

As you can see the image is very poor, I will get a better one, hopefully I will be able to catch some good shots.

Just catching up, the plant you asked about (back a few pages) is a Water Hyacinth Eichornia Crassipes, not at all hardy needs overwintering frost free and is one of the most invasive pest plants in the Tropics.

The red flower, Schizostylis or Kaffir Lily is not really a pond or even a marginal plant but if it is growing well then fine but if it gets too wet it may rot.
Your pond is really looking great and I am envious. :dbgrtmb:

Your pond looks absolutely lovely Martin :yay:. I'm enjoying the pictures of its progress. I would love a pond but not had any success with them in the past. Well done to you for all your effort :star:.

Competition , there not good enough for competition Tetters they was taken through glass with a cheap camera, many thanks though :),

The placing of the plants and the place I wanted them to bath was made purposely so we could see them from our living room, its made a nice little prop for photography, once I get the patio door installed I should be able to get some better shots:fingers crossed:
