    Hello!

I love growing things from packets of seeds, always have, but no idea about what I call "proper" gardening... like digging, taking cuttings etc...

I found this forum when googling for help on a specific question so I shall try to find the appropriate place to post it

    Thank you for having me

      Hi,

I'm newish to the forum, too though if you can grow seeds well and enjoy them then thats the sign of a good gardener to me.

Digging - well, the current thing is 'no dig' so thats solved that problem :)

Cuttings, well there are lots of views on the best way, though it depends on plants being used.
Sure you will get the right advice here.

Why not post a pic of your plants and/or garden and what kind of plants you want to take cuttings from, still time to take some this summer; do you use a greenhouse/shed or window cill ?

Welcome to GC Sarah. :) You've obviously got green fingers! Growing from seed successfully is a real bonus, even some of the more experienced gardeners among us can struggle with this.

You've come to the right place ... I knew how to mow the lawn when I first joined and that was about it :heehee: ... this year I've been pleasantly surprised at my seed successes  Its amazing how quickly you pick things up and the wealth of combined knowledge of members on here.
