@martin-f Cosmos and as you rightly say both White and Pink are the same plant ;) They are one of my all time favs in the garden- a great all purpose bloom for pollinators ...all types feed on them -Loads of colour varieties and heights too-excellent cutting flower for the Vase ....soooo easy to sow/grow from seed blooms right up till first hard frost and down reet pretty to boot :wub2:

@martin-f Dwarf Cosmos at Thompson-Morgan They can be as little as 18/20 inches the Orange Red Yellow variety is very pretty and perfect nearer the front of the border or in Pots ...then the taller varietys all pastel shades and mixes of pastels some with stripes others bi -fluted start at 24/30 inches and up to 36/48 inches and as you say still look fresh and unaffected by the weather in spite of appearing so delicate looking- and they make such good companions to soooo many plants with their delicate airy look they never obscure any plant beside or behind them- just PERfick :spinning:

Good afternoon I have a 1 year old Hawthorn hedge to move as I didn't put enough thought in to it when I planted the hedge last year ;)so I am just about to do it now,I know that all the experts will say its to early but they are members of the rose family and in my garden I make the rules:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Re cosmos, I think the tall cosmos are unbeatable. The dwarf lack the impact I think:smile:
I have been very, very busy in the garden.....in my mind. I thought about deadheading, weeding and other equally boring jobs but, hum, I have profound but temporary lazyitis :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

After doing loads yesterday including emptying and refilling an old galvanised bath (full size) today I've had a restful day just rearranging stuff and storing apples. Torrential rain stopped play this afternoon.
The bath was in one of the borders but it became obscured by the plants so now it sits near my greenhouse on three logs awaiting replanting. Bulbs for the spring but has anyone any ideas for summer planting??. It's in sunny southerly position.
