    Good day everyone
We are still experiencing a rerun of summer. It's been lovely and hot during the day and cools down enough at night to make sleeping pleasant. :)

As is most usual for me, I will be doing my wage earning this morning and then have time to play this afternoon.

It would be nice if we received a bit of free water (rain) now however if I've got either sun or rain, I'll choose sun. I can always supplement whatever is not provided by the gods :)

    Play safe and fun!

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Moving day tomorrow, getting excited now. :)

Although Mrs Trunky is working today, I've got the day off so I'll be ploughing through a list of jobs - a few last things to pack, address changes, cleaning and so on.

I'll probably take a break at some time during the day for a cuppa and a quiet, contemplative wander round the garden. It's going to feel strange walking round this garden for the last time, but it will be tempered by the fact that a new garden awaits me tomorrow, although I suppose Mrs Trunky will insist we get the unpacking in the new house sorted out first. :heehee:

I'm really looking forward to the move. We're moving out of town and back to the village where I grew up and went to school, as did four generations of my family before me, so it really does feel as if I'm going 'back to my roots'.

I'll probably disappear off here for a few days until we're all sorted out, so hope you all have a good weekend enjoying your gardens and I'll see you on the 'other side'. :)

          Aloha everyone,

@Trunky All the best with the move :blue thumb: I still remember my last move although it was 45 years ago. :) It certainly made a change to move from town to village but it was a lovely change. I'm sure you'll settle back into village life very quickly and you're bound to find the unpacking and working out where everything will go interesting :rolleyespink:. We still have a packing box in the loft that was never unpacked! :heehee: I don't think what is in there can be important.

Remember to practice you 'Yes, Dear!', and your smile on your face, for when she gets you to move things round for the fifth time. :noidea:

I still haven't found time, since returning from holiday, to get any gardening in and have meetings today. :phew:

It was a mild night, not dropping below 57F, compared to 42F the night before.

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

                    Good day everyone
@Trunky I hope your move goes well. It must be lovely to return to your home place.

We are expecting another warm sunny day. I only have about an hour and a half's work on this slip before I deliver it this afternoon which will leave me lots of time to play. :)

Please take the time to play too. And do it safely :)

                      Good evening fellow WW'ers

Don't get much time for popping in here as I used to and it's a lovely clean, fresh looking thread for Autumn :dbgrtmb:

Autumn and Spring are by far my favourite seasons of the year and I'm glad we're having a mild Autumn ... most especially for @Trunky and his house move!! Nothing worse than moving home in wet, raining sogginess. Hope it all goes well @Trunky

Had time to enjoy a good couple of hours in the garden today - even Echo came out to sit on a cushion on the Jack & Jill seat for a doze :cat-kittyandsmiley: - moved a rose and Japanese Anemone and then moved some pots around. It's amazing how different things look just by moving them!

@CanadianLori - hope you hear good results from OH's colonoscopy :fingers crossed:

This year seems to have simply flown by! Received the mounted photographs today from youngest son's graduation this morning. He looks fabulous - but the family one is a disappointment. Trouble is they are mounted side by side in the same frame  Ah well, it is what it is and will be duly hung with the others when I have a final place in mind :heehee:

Discovering just how utterly forgettable I am in recent times too: the owner of the hydrotherapy centre - where Ozzy has been attending for the past weeks - still hasn't given me an invoice for the sessions I paid for (in advance!) and this is despite several "reminders". I need the invoice to claim back the cost from the insurers! When I call, it's always the staff who say they will pass the message on and I've yet to get her to call back and respond regarding the invoice. Such a pity because I like the place and its doing wonders for Ozzy, but it is very poor business practise.
Running concurrent, Echo had tests last week (on the 12th) and the vet said he would call with the results by Friday - well, to be fair, he did mention the weekend, but I work weekends so there would have been no point calling me then! - and he still hasn't called. Yes, I probably should chase him up, but I'm irritated that I have to! I paid for the tests, the results and to be told the results, so why on earth should I have to phone to get them too! Hrumph!!

                      Ok, moan over

                      Smiles and vibes for all
                      xxMxx

@"M" thank you for asking. He has to go in for day surgery when the hospital can fit him in. Nothing urgent. and... they didn't need the "jaws of life" or the hubble to figure things out ...:heehee:

It's okay. We all joke about these invasive procedures .... until it happens to us!

course, any woman who has given birth already has experienced every indignity possible... and now the hubby has to catch up :hate-shocked:

It is all a part of ageing and if it all didn't happen, lots of people I know would be pretty bored with life, no medical merry go round...:heehee:

The first revenge of our bodies in advanced years is the loss of being able to lie in late. the second is...

well fill in the blanks :)

                              Aloha everyone,

@"M" Sorry to hear about the annoying things re both Ozzy and Echo. :grphg:

I always accept the fact that most places will forget/avoid/not care/mess up simple admin things (take your pick of one or more) and am quite adamant, but polite, on the phone about speaking to the right person ("I'll hang on until they're free"). Of course, it's easier for me as I have two lines and I tell them that I'll leave it on speakerphone whilst I carry on with my work. Unless they have a switchboard they can't receive calls whilst I'm holding on  :heehee:

@Zigs wish you better :blue thumb:

GC hasn't got enough memory for that! :snorky:

Michael was supposed to come today but he has just phoned to say he forgot his truck needed an MOT and has to take it for that! I know he's genuine about it otherwise he would still be in bed for a couple more hours  It doesn't surprise me that he forgot. He has no organisational skills at all, is dyslexic and, I suspect, has great difficulty reading and writing. Apart from that he's a nice person and a hard worker. So we put up with it. :noidea:

Yesterday was warm and sunny and after having chaired two meetings during the day I started taking down one of the ShineyFrames. A long job with a lot of bending (not good) and stretching (good). It's a few hours job and I was nearly finished at 6 p.m. when it started raining. I rushed indoors and got a coat and hat and finished the job. I've left the debris for Michael to clear up and 60ft of wire netting to roll up neatly (a lot of bending).

I may remove the wire from around the second ShineyFrame but the plants are being left for the French beans to go to seed properly.

Keep well and have a great day

                              Aloha!
