No, just a few sleeps to go FC. Packing's all but done and I'm sitting here surrounded by boxes. Contracts still not signed but we're told the move is still on for Friday.
We were told contract signing and exchange would be last minute but we don't know how last minute at the moment.

Thank you Martin and BeeHappy. That wouldn't surprise me FC. The owners solicitor is quite a haughty person and what she says goes. Needs taking down a peg or two methinks! But we are assured it will happen. It better had, our bank account is looking much worse off today.

Thanks KFF. A couple of years may be a little ambitious. My old body doesn't work as well as it used too but the garden will look a bit different to how it does now.
It looks like you weren't far wrong @Fat Controller. Following a couple of hold-ups the contract is being signed tomorrow afternoon and we'll have the keys at approximately 3.30pm. We have been given the go ahead to move in even if the signing is delayed again until after the weekend. From tomorrow I will be without a phone line until the middle of next week so I won't be here to annoy you all for a while. Enjoy the break!

Thanks FC. You wouldn't believe what has held things up, the details of which I can't give you here. Our solicitor has described our conveyancing as 'very unusual' but we did warn him at the start things wouldn't go to plan. It's typical of my family history. I'll soon be back to annoy you all so make the most of my absence.
