I always used the canna in the past for tomatoes and it is the best I have found, I used the levingtons this year as wife was ill and I had no time as I have to travel to get the canna.

Do you also use the A&B feeds too or do you use something different?

      I did not like A & B I use organic as below
Compost 80% Cana Terra 20% worm compost (Worms kept in Coir fed all veg scraps)

      Additions to each pot
      20 grms Mycorrhizal fungi
      50 grms Calcified seaweed

I used to add FBB but found too much green growth before first truss

Feed once weekly Bio Bizz Grow and Bloom half strength say sunday
      Grow NPK 4. 3. 6 Bloom 2. 7. 4 Giving total NPK 6. 10. 10

Feed once weekly Maxicrop seaweed tomato half strength feed Say Wednesday

Foliar spray once weekly Plant magic Magne cal
Foliar spray once weekly Maxicrop Seaweed extract plant growth stimulant

      Regards Sandy

Thank you @sandymac that's really useful. We have a few different bottles of maxicrop and the plantmagic magnecal. Mycorrhizal fungi - have seen that mentioned a lot over the last few months but not tried it myself and will look into biobizz :dbgrtmb:

Impressed by the consistency of Durstons

I really liked durstons, bit on the dry side mind and the odd lump but other than that it was a nice colour and texture. And 3 bags for £10 I couldn't grumble as it was delivered to my plot for free.

To be honest, I'd never heard of Durston compost until now:scratch::doh:, but 3 bags of 60 litres for £12 is still nearly twice the price of B&Q peat added compost for 125 liters as I can get 250 litres for the same price..........so I'll stick with the latter for the time being and maybe spend the extra on an impulse plant buy.:dunno::heehee:

They have a big construction company as well (unless it's finnished), i think most is of the compost is recycled waste, but they are in the Mendips where there is peat as well

I can get 40L bags for £2 here so gave it a try, Budgens are selling it. I hadn't heard of it before either but was pleasantly surprised. I must have most other compost this year I've been disappointed by
