    Why a white rosemary Gary?
I grew a "white" variety but found the flowers were really the palest of pale blues.....
Whitish I guess but not white throughout. Very disappointed with it. Alba florus" or similar rings a bell but it was a few hears ago. :noidea: Not sure if any variety has a true white flower....be interested if anyone grows it

@Verdun which Rosemary is best to grow please? I grow various Herbs for both the Bees and the Bunnies ( oregano, marjoram, thyme, parsley, lavender, sage ) but don't have a Rosemary. Would like two Rosemary's.

For flowers lucius, Mrs. Reeds Dark Blue I think is the best upright rosemary. Nice dark green v aromatic foliage. :)
For some reason the brightest blue flowers are on the prostrate varieties whilst the upright ones seem mostly to have insipid flowers.:noidea:

An assumption made too often, unfortunately.

As for being "sensible" here, GC Admin thought it was information worthy of sharing when @Zigs created this thread on the subject: Poisonous Plants - A summary

I fully agree with the posts made by both @BeeHappy and @"M" as regards being sensible.

GC members range from absolute beginners to some that have specialist knowledge better than many professionals. The one thing that joins us all is the fact that none of us know everything, especially in regards to toxic plants and the eating habits of beloved pets or other animals.

I take on board the potential danger to pets ..pet owner and animal lover myself .......but I would like to think this criticism is offset by the comprehensive info I gave concerning my own personal experience of fragrant plants whch I hope has been helpful to those asking about them . All plants I grow by the way :)
Heliotropes have been offering powerful scent today.....some in the conservatory and should offer nice fragrance esp first thing in the winter mornings :)

I looked through this thread and thought it was plants with unpleasant smells not lovely scents. Plants I find foul smelling are :- salvia, choisya, and houttuynia cordata.
