Heatwave

Warm last night, warm now. The promise of a lovely day

 

I can empathise! That would have been a very uncomfortable time for you. :exhausted:
My youngest is an August baby and, although not '76, it was a hot summer. In the final week, I slept on a sun lounger in the dining room with the patio doors open (not so great for the neighbours ... I snore )

 

Ok, not sweltering but what a gorgeous day. Cut lawns. Began some tidying......geranium johnsons blue, a large hemerocallis (divided) cut back hard. All the salvias are looking better than ever.

 

Indeed it is I'm like Goldilocks when it comes to weather: not too cold; not too hot

 

Although it's nice to get some really hot weather during the summer, I'd personally like to see a long protracted settled spell with just the odd break now and then.
Not really had that kind of thing for a few years now, we tend to get some hot days but mostly in the form of three days working up to it then a scorcher followed by a massive drop in temperature.
It tends to make you think you have had a decent summer, when basically its been very changeable.

 

Oo 22c Sunday, 24 Monday plan on getting the last of the vit. D even if it is only going to last for a few days

Although we haven't had too much sun i'd like to see some decent rain fall. We haven't had any rain that actually soaks through since August.

 

15 degrees here today, and wet in the morning. Sweltering!

It was dry, sunny and very windy here, the temperature up to 17C/63F.
