I lived across the valley from JWK at the time

 

I lived through it!

 

Got woken up by branches hitting the upstairs windows, branches, not twigs

Only we didn't have a tree next to the house

Scared the wellies out of me, thought the balm had dropped

 

For me, it was the sound of the neighbours greenhouses popping; next door but one lost the whole gable of their house.

 

It was a night to remember

Mist is forming in the field, just hope it's not full of the ghosts of long dead pirates come to reclaim their glod again

 

It looks like Ophelia has blown herself out.

Dry today with some sunshine and the high winds of yesterday have dropped. So has the temperature, 13C/55F.

 

@"M" I didn't knock them down, I cut them down, needed some weight on the lorry to stop her from breaking the mirror

So much for the "heatwave" yesterday - sod all sun and barely 13°c!

 

19.7C today, hardly a heatwave but fairly pleasant once the sun came out proper.
Just a bit windy until late afternoon.

 

Lovely sunshine, but the wind kept the heat at bay. Pleasant enough, a typical Autumnal day

 

Very little sun but dry with a gale force wind until mid afternoon, 18C/64F.

 

16c cloudy and damp, local weather on the wireless says it won't feel as warm, no heat waze then :rasp: just warmer than average

 

Gone strangely quiet here and the sky's gone dark
