This weekend, check your money boxes, down the sides of sofas, all handbags, etc., because this weekend is the deadline for spending them.

I've just been given one by Mr "M" Now :think3: what shall I spend it on ..... ?

Can the old ones still be changed in the banks? :dunno:

Are any other coins or notes being replaced?

The old £10 note is being replaced in spring 2018 , with the new plastic one.
Just changed my last old £1 at the Co-Op.

Talking about £10 notes ,I found this one last week whilst working.
I took it to our bank and there are two criteria of which they require and one was missing......that is where the hole is.
So they gave me a form to fill in and send to the Bank of England and they will authenticate it or not.
                  So fingers crossed..

On a footnote the day they changed over to the new pound I emptied my money box of all the old £’s of which there was about 20 and no bank would change them..........it was over a week before I was able to get replacements.......bad show after they had pestered us to get rid.

Banks will take them in. I guess that's different to changing them. I still have plenty to get rid of.

Somebody told me today that poppy sellers will take them. That's good thinking. :dbgrtmb:

Banks will only take a minimum of £20 of the old ones from now on :yikes:
