So, I popped outside to make certain the coop was all locked up and it went from spitting rain to downpour in less time than it takes to blink! Ran inside to grab a brolly, ran back outside ... it had turned from downpour into ...

... drizzle!!! :th scifD36: Put the brolly back inside the back door, walked to the coop, locked it up tight, turned to walk back home ...

... yup, you've guessed it: soaked-to-the-skin in less than 20 seconds! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
Just what is going on here!!? :dunno:

@Fat Controller - it wasn't the kind I was hoping for *any* weekend   :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

As mentioned by pete storms really should be given more ominous names . Brian does not send a chill down your back , maybe Barabas or Batibat ( a Demon from the Philippines ) would have more effect :hate-shocked:
Tomorrow my grandson was going to do a job on the front of the house , up an extension ladder. Better cancel , I am sure his mum would like him back in one piece !

@Verdun read the headlines in the Daily Mail about Cornwall....

I got woken up at midnight by a howling moggy that was sitting on our front lawn sopping wet and wanting to come indoors out of the rain so I got up went down stairs let him in,dried him off with an old towel, fed him and then went back upstairs to bed.:snooze: Five minutes later said cat was scratching at the bottom line f the door desperate to get into the bedroom or so I thought but he immediately ran downstairs to the front door where he wanted to go out:sad: When I opened the front door it was howling a gale and chucking it down so I thought that Brian was already on our doorstep:scratch:

The wet moggy went and sat on the lawn and proceeded to clean its self.:cat-kittyandsmiley: I decided
I wasn’t tired enough for sleep so ended up spending quiet a few hours reading on line blogs and reading newspapers etc.I finally crashed out at 4.45am:snooze: I wouldn’t mind but the bloody cat isn’t even ours....:gaah:

We now have very fine steady rain and a bit of a breeze but nothing yet like has been predicted:whistle:

My companions boat was due for the annual trip to to have her dry docked today but the chap who takes her there will wait till Sunday.
I went down and emptied the boat yesterday and have to say the weather was lovely yesterday afternoon.
It’s sunny here, I’m doing the boring washing jobs and just turned my bed topper and made up the bed.
I don’t think I’ll be hanging the sheets out today though.
