Forecast for my nearest town is 3 deg C early morning on Monday 30th October, wind from NNE and only light cloud.

At my rural edge of village plot it's normally 3 or 4 degrees less than that forecast, so a heavy frost is likely that will finish off my runner beans, some flowers, sweetcorn cobs left ripening for seed saving and also get the last of my tomatoes in the polytunnels.

Check your forecasts and shift anything vulnerable at the weekend if required.

All too easy when out wearing just a T shirt in warm sunshine with clear skies and watching butterflies to forget that at this time of year it can mean arrival of high pressure and that extremely chilly mornings could be imminent.

Ive just finished cleaning out me chooks :chicken: and i can't believe how mild it is ....such a shame it has to come to an end ;) - although i do love all the Seasons and wish we had them as we used to :) - it was straightforward when there were four Seasons per year.... not four Seasons in one day

I saw it earlier today on the weather forecast, 0 degrees forecast here :frown: , so much to do so little time. Lifting the Ensete maurii will be the first objective.

Thank you. I'm finding since moving here, the temperature is definitely on the lower end of the range in the forecasts. I'll make this weekend the weekend to get the tenders into their winter position ... that's if I can find room in the bathroom
