One of our Loquats which was blown over in Storm Ophelia now pulled upright and staked. The glass in the glazed part of the pergola next to the Watergarden, which was blown off in the storm and shards of glass embedded all over our neighbour's lawn, has now been reglazed. We lost a beautiful Acacia Baileyana Purpurea, though: it had been the main feature in our front garden. :( :(

You're not the only one, lollipop.:dunno: I tried some years ago to grow Angels Fishing Rods and failed. I've bought another ten from a reputable supplier and at least 3 failed while still in the pots. I planted another 3 in my central border and they've been there nearly a year not looking very happy. I have the others still in pots in a sheltered area as a reserve..........and they class them as Moderately easy to grow:wallbanging::gaah::snorky:

No preparation. Just bung 'em in the soil and away they go. (I have alkaline soil if that's anything to do with it.)

These are Dieramas in a friend of mine's garden. She just dug a hole and stuck them in.

Yep, my hungry, well drained, sandy soil bends towards Alkaline, but Angels Fishing Rods just seem to sit there and not grow away:doh::scratch::wallbanging::snorky:

And have just put up these five wall pots for Alpine Plants beside the water garden.

How did you guess? :) Looking a bit manky after a night on the tiles. :)
(Actually, you can just see my head in the top picture.)

Making a statue (bust) to go beside the water garden. He's made of bits of plastic, plaster of Paris, expanding foam, PVA and concrete. (A bit of a mutant! :) )
