I know some come from as far as Russia and they feed and fly mostly at night so the fence wires are probably invisible to them. It's an awkward position the NWT has put themselves in.

So was I @wiseowl I looked out the window at the tree in the front garden (still don't know what it is!!!!) and saw two Long Tailed Tits fly off but left a Goldcrest behind!
Two came through the back garden a couple of days ago so they are still around, always nice to see.

Nice one @strongylodon , Pied Wagtails are one of my favourite birds. We used to have some but they've disappeared.

I think it's a Greenfinch @KFF, I have Siskins visiting as well and they look similar. :)

Not Laburnum @Sheal the flowers are whitish and inconspicuous.

Greenfinches are the one garden bird we don't see anymore. A Great Tit visited this morning, first we have had (or at least seen) for months.

It was the limp stems that made me think Laburnum @strongylodon, Willow tends to hang like that too.

I find the Greenfinches are very nervous and fly off at the first sign of movement. The Coal Tit's will let me get within 5ft before they move......but not with the camera though.:)

Perhaps the Tit's will return to your garden. :) If we get the winter that's promised I think we'll all be seeing less common birds coming to feed.
