        just pulled a pecan pie out of the oven for tomorrow. in the AM to stuff my Turkey for roasting will take 4 hours that is enough to jet over for dinner. I got wine even.

            I'll inspect the garden when it gets light as there had been some trees down in the village when I was driving home late last night.

            The rain has stopped and the ground is drying out in the strong wind.

                  Good day everyone
                  It looks to be a breezy day again but the weather guessers have told us that we shall possibly reach 40f- a virtual heat wave!

                  I will be visiting my Uncle's grave today with my Cousin and Auntie. He was a decorated WWII army sergeant who was recognized for storming and capturing a bridge in France under heavy fire. I will make making a small sack and filling it with sand so that before we leave, we can each put a poppy pin in it to show our respects. I had purchased extra poppies during the Remembrance poppy campaign just for this purpose.

                  I guess I'd better get a move on with that.

                    No I have just woken:heehee:...been doing things first before I even think of the :pcthwack:...weather here is dry and Minty as showed up twice already for a feed and after 3 days worry, now i'm peaceful again:phew:

                    Suns out also so not a bad day, except for it being cold :)

                        Pecan pie baked. have whipped cream for it. Turkey with stuffing inside in oven now. should be done by 2PM. will make mashed potatoes at about 1PM and have brussel sprouts to saute later, make the gravy after the turkey is done, open can of cranberries. the turkey bone broth I made last month is being used as the basting along with the butter on the turkey right now. going to try to hang some Christmas lights outside. chilly day. have plenty of wine for later. Happy Thanksgiving to all USA friends here.

                          Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends! :) I hope you have a wonderful time with your families, eat and drink WAY too much, and have loads of laughs.

                          Late on parade for me today - been working from home again, as the wee one is ill. Tomorrow, well to be honest I am now s*tting myself a bit as I have got to go and have a contrast CT done in the morning to see if I have any tumours etc in my throat/chest area. Everywhere I have looked, read or listened this week, the C word has kept popping up, so I am hoping that fate is not trying to send me a message......... Of course, I will have to wait some weeks after tomorrow to find out, so I am probably being even more silly worrying about tomorrow. Ho hum......

                            I'm still trying to catch up and had to go into town to sort out a problem for Barry. I'm still working my way through the snail mail but need to take a break every so often :coffee:

                            The wind has dropped this morning so I shall wander round the garden when I get back from my Physio.

                                Scan done - not too bad; feel a bit rough, raging headache now, and a bit of a horrid taste in my mouth, but all in all I am fine. Going to kill the taste with lots of strong tea.
