@'M' my heart goes out to you on the departure of beautiful Echo. My first girlfriend in America was called Echo, a stunning blue eyed Southern gal.

My Boy (Hoover Van Dyson) is a Snowshoe and your description of Echo suits him too ... except he has a piercing Siamese screaming voice when an interloper invades 'his property' ... he also growls (I wonder if his previous humans had dogs).

Treasure your precious memories. Is he buried in your loving garden?

RIP Echo and safe journey across The Rainbow Bridge. xx

        Thank you @Victoria
We buried his brother Moxie in our previous garden (had hopes we would make it our permanent home, but plans changed) and he remained there when we moved here. I decided Echo is having an individual cremation so his ashes will be returned to me. I'm going to plant them in a pot with an appropriate (but as yet unknown) plant to sit on the patio. If ever I move ... at least he came come with me.

So hard to loose our fur babies. I still have moments of sadness for my boys this January will be 2 years. was out at a hardware store today and a pix of a cat looked just like one of them. Now I know I will have dream tonight about him. 37663_1525240854808_3892504_n.jpg

It must have been very upsetting to leave him like that. We had all our's individual cremated and they're all on sideboard. Still got their ashes in with a photo by the casket.

Yes, @Logan it was. Echo's ashes have been returned to us now and, for the time being, he is resting in his favourite place (the dining room). Hopefully, come Spring, I will have fathomed out which plant in a pot would best suit him and he can be laid to rest.

Under the patio so he can carry on headbutting me when I pop round for tea :)

It would have been Bracken's birthday today. He was 13 last year when he died of Leukemia.
