      Hey Shiney!

      You have a bengal?!

We inherited 2 bengals 9 months ago - a 5 year old rosetted female, and a 6 year old Silver bengal. They were raised like brother & sister - inseperable, hence we we were landed with the two. I kinda had a vague idea what we were taking on, having had a Siamese many years ago. What a false assumption that was! hahaha. Molly prefers being an indoor cat although will go out on a lead, whereas Sago likes to go out for an hour or two first thing every morning, to patrol his ever extending territory. And he is proving to be a "gardener's helper" (using the term "helper" in a Bengal's definition, like guarding picked runner beans haha). I posted a photo of him in the GC photo competition earlier this year.

Gardening and Bengals kind of go together I guess! hahaha:

When they aren't destroying the house and climbing heights that aren't easy to retrieve them from - fortunately, Sago doesn't climb as much as Molly! hahaha:

            @Chesterfieldgardener

Sarafi isn't our cat but he thinks he owns our garden - and us! He lives four doors away but spends most of his time with us.

His favourite pastime, as with all cats, is sleeping.

He sleeps a lot in the greenhouse and, in the colder weather, in our heated propagator.

            P1110863.JPG

He has other favourite sleeping places as well but mainly on my ex-office chair that's under
            our covered pergola
            P1290094.JPG

Of course, he still likes sleeping in other places and is quite often found sleeping on one of the compost heaps
            P1170092.JPG

            He likes climbing
            P1120085.JPG

            And hunting squirrels
            P1120748.JPG

And is very relaxed in Mrs Shiney's company
            P1210229.JPG

If we're not in the garden he tends to look for us through one of our glass doors

What a great arrangement! So no being woken up at 6.00am with them either leaving you with dead legs having guarded your kneecaps for the night, or chaotic noise because "6am is purrrfect for playing chase around the house"...

Sleep... ahh bliss (for me and the missus getting peace and quiet for an hour or two in the day - the photos aren't of me and the missus btw!):

APOLOGIES to all for unintentionally turning the thread into"Bengal bedlum"! If you aren't sure if your cat's a Bengal... It's not a Bengal ;)

If you prefer a quiet life - adopt a herd of wildebeast. If you want less demands on your time - take up turning the Serengetti into a rose garden :)

Who'd've thunk it? Our cat likes processed peas.

We should start a thread - "The crazy things our pets eat!". Our Male Bengal loves instant porridge! Problem is that every time the microwave pings he's there like lightning irrespective of what we are cooking (Pavlov's cat haha)

I think that the cat was more interested in the gravy rather than the peas.

Yes, dogs do have there peculiarities too. One of our dogs insists on licking out tea/coffee cups. The other doesn't but he does like a cream liqueur.

Dogs are also surprisingly good at picking out things they don't want. Many years ago we had a dog that could seperate out peas. He apparantly didn't like peas.
