      Good day eveyone
I'm glad to see that everyone is well and keeping active.

@shiney I've read your post and now feel tired and maybe should go back to bed!

@toppington sorry to be mia. It has been very busy with work for me lately and I had been asked to watch over my dear old auntie for a month which added a bit to my daily errands. Plus a cousin came to stay at my place to "help" out for a week. She wanted to go to the states and several other places so I had to take time off to drive her about. Well, my cousins are all back where they live and my Auntie survived my supervision and life is somewhat back to normal for me.

Got a large bowl of fruits all nicely marinated in brandy waiting for me in the kitchen. After I'm finished my visit here, I shall read the news, then go down to the kitchen to start preparing this latest batch of Christmas cake whilst listening to my beloved show.

Can't think of a more pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning :)

Hello Everyone, very late on parade today as that Chinese meal I had last night upset my stomach and made me sick too. At least my arm and shoulder are on the mend.
Have a good day everyone, take care, keep warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.:wub2:

              Happy Sunday to all.
The Christmas party was lovely @toppington , thanks for asking. Today, later have another to go to, starts at 4:30pm so some time to be outside in this nice weather pruning or finishing my outside Christmas decorations. Monday night another party at one of my group homes, that starts at 4PM. Tis the season.

                  Aloha everyone,

We won our match yesterday :hapydancsmil:

Today I'm now free to work on all the personal admin things that I've pushed to one side. A lot of tedious jobs

The moon was exceptionally bright last night and I had a wander in the garden. Sarafi came out of the greenhouse to enjoy my company. Actually, it was to miaow for food but he didn't get any, so he wandered with me and occasionally begged. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

Had a busy Sunday yesterday which began with looking for somewhere to put the wrapped gifts  Realised I needed to move a piece of furniture away from the radiator; which lead to moving a piece of furniture away from a corner so I could put the first piece of furniture there; but, now where to put the 2nd piece? Which lead to moving a 3rd piece so the 2nd would fit and by the time I had finished ... the contents of the whole room had been moved around :rolleyespink: :rolleyespink: By which time, I remembered that I hadn't taken Ozzy out for his constitutional  Quick shower and changed into "walking" clothes with a note to self to turn the oven on to heat up ready for putting the joint in when I got home. Enjoyed our walk only to discover I had forgotten to put the oven on  Soon rectified :phew: but needed to get a wiggle on or Mr "M" would return home from work to nothing better than bread and pullit at this rate :heehee: All was well that ended well

Back to paid work shortly but, looking at the new arrangement in the office  maybe the bureau is in the wrong place .... ? :dunno:

                      Smiles and vibes for all

                        Good day everyone
aha @"M" so you're the one giving all of us gals a bad rep for moving the furniture about!

I am fortunate that a grocery not far from me has flour on sale - 10 kilos for $7.99. I go through one of these every month except this month when I'm baking my Christmas cookies and I land up going through two bags. It's a big savings when totalled up.

I agree with M that you, @redstar ,are truly becoming a party girl. You go girl, because it is the season!

We are predicted to have a day that will be all the way up to 40f and I still have pots to empty so I plan to be outside this afternoon baking the bugs out of the dirt.

Everyone have a super day and play safe please!

Afternoon all - I have stepped off the wheel for a couple of days, with the sole intention of kicking my heels at home, and doing what I like. Got the place to myself (well, me and our wee dog), so I have had free reign in the kitchen..... I decided on soup for dinner tonight, so I set about it.

First up, I made some garlic and herb croutons from yesterdays Giraffe/Tiger loaf leftovers (I do like croutons), and they are nestled away ready for later. Then it was the soup - nothing planned, so it was whatever I had to hand that I threw in:

                          1 leek, sliced
                          1 large onion, finely chopped
5 small carrots (roughly the same as 2 big ones), halved and then sliced
2 sticks celery, halved and sliced
                          1 green pepper, finely diced
                          1 jar passata
                          2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 large potato, cubed - will be added later.

                          Dried herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
                          Chilli flakes

Mixed stock (chicken, vegetable and a wee bit ham)

Sautéed the leek, onion, carrot and celery very slowly in a large pot using Carrotino oil, then added the pepper for the last five mins before putting in the herbs, passata, stock and garlic.

It is all simmering away quietly now, and even if I do say so myself, it smells pretty good.

Actually, I am wondering about the potato now - might smash up some pasta tubes and add them instead, as it is more of a minestrone....
