I also like Love Actually and the Polar Express:biggrin:

As I am confined to the house at the moment I have been watching a lot of the Christmas films on Channel 5 this week and I can tell they are all modern films because the Actors/Actresses have pearly white teeth, talk to each other on their smart phones, use IPads and laptops plus they all walk round with Coffee to go cups in their hands when they walk about:snorky:

I think that the most popular Christmas film of all time is "It's A Wonderful Life" (wouldn't surprise me if it came top of almost all the polls). A lovely film at any time of year.

Definitely the most popular song is "White Christmas". I like the film of the same name but it's just a light hearted romp. The song doesn't originate from that film but comes from the better film, "Holiday Inn", made 12 years before that.

Another very popular Christmas song is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" from the 1944 Judy Garland film "Meet Me In St Louis".

Pity they spelled the name of Donner wrongly.

Then, of course, there was another reindeer called Olive. :blue thumb: It's in the song :old:

"Olive, the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names"

I've never seen it! :noidea: We were on holiday two years ago in 'The Sound of Music' country and the guide kept pointing places where scenes were filmed. She couldn't believe that we had never seen the film :heehee:

The hills are alive, Julie Andrews was always a bit too gooy , (another word of the day,;)).

                          As for The Italian Job,
