:reindeer: Gooood morning fellow WW'ers :santa wave:

:grphg: So sorry to read that toppers! :grphg: Healing vibes winging their way to you. As for the not so great news ... any chance of turning them around? If not, then I'll throw in some positive vibes with the healing ones and keep my :fingers crossed: that if things can't get any better right now, then at least they don't get any worse for you. :cmonhug:

      :lunapic 130165696578242 5: You never miss a trick! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I love that!! Might have to make one for our table this year; thank you for sharing  Do you make christingles too?

Had our staff Christmas meal last night and I went on my own (t'other half working). The drive there wasn't too bad, but, still managed to arrive late  Feeling embarrassed, I sat in the first vacant seat (it was one of those rare - very rare - occasions I was wearing a skirt and heels and was happy to sit sooner rather than later) but only realised it was the wrong seat when, seconds later, a placemat, cracker, cutlery, serviette and the starter were being handed along the chain of people to where I had sat   Realised I had originally been placed next to the other female single and then felt bad for messing up the seating plan. When the starter was finished and before the main course began, I packed up my place setting and returned to where I should have been ;) Think I got away with it :phew: :heehee:
The food was "ok", nothing to complain about, but not one you'd write home about. The company was great and as I was (eventually) sat next to people who originate from Czech and Norway, it was very interesting to contrast and compare how the season is celebrated. I'm considering applying for multiple nationality so I can extend Christmas to incorporate all traditions :chris-win: Wasn't looking forward to the drive home as much of it is through country roads. I won't drink and drive but those who do would be using those same roads to avoid being caught so I wanted to get away before closing time. Mission accomplished

Today was going to be card writing day ... but  I've forgotten where I've put them :heehee: I'll begin the hunt when I've had my cuppa, they'll be somewhere "safe"

Enjoy what is left of the weekend, smiles and vibes for all xxMxx

        Good day everyone
I'm late again. I spent my morning removing the sticky from my kitchen. I baked 80 dozen cookies yesterday and made up my trays complete with fudges, Christmas cake and candy canes. Took me nearly 10 hours. So I waddled (quality control all day) upstairs to bed without tidying anything. The kitchen was a disaster so it took me this morning to clean it up.

And I've still got 1/2 an hour of my show left with nothing to do but watch whilst sitting with a mug in my fist.

Have a super day and play safe. :)

Blubber - just a spare tyre made of blubber. That's why it's great to be in Canada in the winter. We blubber up and then put on big puffy coats to disguise it and no one suspects... :heehee:

In Britain, we put on dark glasses to hide the blubber effect: big puffy eyes! ;) :heehee:

                    Hello, late Sunday night here.
@CanadianLori ---80 dozen cookies, are you kidding me. wow. :love30:

made my apple cranberry walnut loafs last weekend, 6 of them for gifts.
don't bake much. No one to eat it, and certainly don't need the calories.

Anyway, currently, a nice martini in hand. relaxing Sunday evening.

                    Hope all is well.

I love baking @redstar and I have a lot of friends who don't. I make trays and gift them. Really was impressed with a new recipe for eggnog fudge that I added to the trays this year. Also lots of christmas cake, mince tarts and cherry tarts. It's only once a year for that kind of hand out.

Putting on my bigger pants due to quality testing :)

                          Aloha everyone,

It's only 8.30 and the sun is shining brightly. We had a nice walk in the forest yesterday and had a good laugh at the ducks skating on the lake :heehee:. The temperature only just got above freezing and it rained during the last part of the walk. I had taken a nice big umbrella so we were OK, other wise we may have had icicles hanging from us.

If it's not too cold we may continue with the leaf clearing and cutting back of the grasses.

We could do with you living near us. :blue thumb: We got through about 100 cakes on Open Day. %00 visitors over the weekend :phew:. Friends bake some of them for us and the rest we buy from the local W.I. They don't usually make many cakes but we buy them in batches, to order, for weeks in advance and put them in the freezer.

Keep well and have a great day

                          Aloha!

                            Good day everyone
@shiney I have baked for various good causes. Last Christmas I baked 3 dozen loaves of specialty breads for a bake sale, plus cooked fudges and things to add to the table. Thoroughly enjoyed doing it. :) I figure if I'm going to put on a little weight over Christmas, so should all of my friends and they will all receive a tray of cookies to help them along. If we all get wider in proportion to each, well, it won't be at all noticeable :heehee:

I'm going to be pulling on my boots today to go out to the wood pile and bring in some to stock up by the fireplace. I need to get into one of the small greenhouses and bring in a flat of pots for my carnation seedlings. So nice to garden year round

Have a good day everyone and play safe!
