@wiseowl et al , is it possible to identify this Rose from the photos ? I realise with roses it ain't that easy . The rose was already planted on a trellis arch . It is yellow and started flowering mid-June.
I would like to know if it is a rambling (flowers once ?) or climbing ( repeat flowers ) rose. Is there any way of telling ?

    TIA

It's a very nice yellow colour. I'm not keen on the ones that look a bit wishy washy.

I'm pretty sure I have a Golden Showers climbing rose in the sunny bed - not really climbing much, but that is my fault for not providing suitable climbing structure.

I have golden showers in a shady patch (planted a very long time before I moved here and one of the few things I kept).

It is a climber and repeat flowers all the way through to November

Sorry just found replies on this thread . The sad update of this is - the variety was Golden Shower , I found a label on them both. I also decided that they were a little too big for the small archway trellis we have at the caravan. So , ahem , they were moved on and I have planted two 6 foot patio clematis . For all there beauty , I am not really a rose person.

@gail_68you have to train climbing roses horizontally so you get shoots growing from the stem and not just at the top. You have to do it gently or it will snap.

@Logan A year after being here we removed them because the growing rate was quite fast, with them even cut back but thanks for the info as I may need it in the future :)
