WHAT'S LOOKING GOOD IN JANUARY 2018

They did enough digging while they were young, Sheal, but seemed to be less inclined when they were older I'm still digging up bricks in borders I've been digging in for nearly 37 years Every now and then I dig up a toy cup from one of their Tea Parties

 

@ARMANDII Was that photo of the sand taken somewhere near this golf course? They were planting young trees whilst we were there.

 

History says that Cheshire was once covered by an Ocean.

 

There are actually a number of different varieties which have different shape leaves (longer, shorter, fatter etc.) but the main two varieties are 'confusa' (the taller one) and 'hookeriana' (the shorter one). You may also find hookeriana under the name of 'humilis'. Some varieties come with pinkish flowers but most come with white flowers.

Although we've cut down most of the grasses we have kept these to give a bit of interest (others in that bed have been cut and these will need to be done soon as the new growth is already coming)


Helleborus corsicus has a different leaf formation to most of the others as they look more like holly leaves. This plant looks a bit dirty as it's alongside the driveway and gets splashed with dirt when it rains hard


In the right light some grasses that have finished can look good

I've had to edit some of the spelling because the software on here keeps deciding I have misspelled some of it. I've now changed confuse back to confusa three times. This has just made it four times!!!
