    Update:-
It wasn't a pick up. It was a return addressed label and said they would pay me up to £4.85 for the return postage - quite a large sum for a little package. Unfortunately it wasn't that simple . I started packaging the battery in its original packaging (battery is 1.5" x 1" and packaging is 10" x 7") but checked the labels they had sent me and it said that as it is hazardous material it can't be sent by post.

So I started checking out courier services (DHL, UPS etc.) and they ranged in price from £3 - £20. £3 is not bad as they would be refunding that - until I read the conditions. None of the courier firms I checked would take Lithium-Ion batteries!

So I phoned Amazon and got their helpline in South Africa. He was very helpful but wanted to go through lots of security checks before he would look at our account. Then he said that we should just send it back by courier!!! I said none of the couriers will take it. A pause of about 10 seconds (seemed longer) and he then said that our purchase price has been refunded and that we don't need to return it. Good service :yay:

Oh I am pleased it worked out for you @shiney in the end...I prefer the chat line though plus they give you a copy of your chat...i'm with prime I don't know if you are but that's your business but I don't purchase anything unless it's through prime plus the service is a lot better :)

Not with Prime - don't use them enough. :noidea:

I've phoned a store in the nearest town and they are putting one aside for me. I'll pick it up when I go shopping next.

@shiney I mainly use it for books but I do the odd purchase if something comes up good but Amazon are so good with prime.

I am pleased you've actually got one and it works for you [IMG]plus if it's not suitable it won't take long to take it back :)

            Aloha everyone,

Not quite so sodden here (I hope). :noidea:

If the ground is OK I might have a go at clearing up the damage in the garden. Most of it is bits of trees come down. I'll check to see whether any of them may need tidying up where the branches have broken off.

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

The ground wasn't too soggy but there were too many branches and twigs for me to bother picking up. One 20ft branch, half a dozen or so 5 - 6ft branches and hundreds of twigs. Too much bending for me so it will be left until Michael comes next time.

                    Aloha everyone,

The lovely sludge lorry should be here today as they were too late last week (supposed to have been here at 9.30 and phoned me, at 11.00 to say they would arrive at 12.15 - but I was going out :noidea:). It's the first time I'm using this company so I hope they are good.

It will be a busy day as it's the club this afternoon and I have a match in London this evening. :phew:

Keep well and have a great day

                    Aloha!

Don`t think so :nonofinger: Send me the address of your nearest soup kitchen, and I`ll post my old camping kettle to you - your need is obviously much greater than mine. :uh-oh:
