You had me worried there for a bit ... :fearful: ... I mean ... the total horror of it ... :fearful: ...

... Dant and 'Eck!!!!????? :thud: :thud: :thud: (You redeemed yourself with Mr Norton ;) )

Mrs F is an absolute Saint :love30: :love30: :love30: I would be completely stressed by the chaos; well done that woman!

    :waggy: As for you: ...

... Bravo!!!! :highfive: Top job  You never cease to amaze me :love30:

When's the "Living Room" official party/opening?

PS: I've only wallpapered once. Back in the day when it was fashionable to have one type of paper on the bottom third of the room, a border, then another paper on the top 2/3rds of the room.
    Lessons learned.

Lesson 1: when you begin one end ... keep going in that direction! :blue thumb:
Me? I did the bottom third from one side of the room and the top two-thirds from the opposite end. Lesson? Me lines didn't match up   :oopss:
Lesson 2: the weight of the paper dictates how much wallpaper paste you need to apply ;)

Lesson 3: when putting up patterned paper ... buy at least 1 roll more than you bargained for! Matching those patterns can soon eat through your supplies.

Lesson 4: Furniture can be the saviour of all wallpapering
    a) they can hide mistakes; b) if not hidden, they can detract from any mistakes; c) they can be *blamed* for some mistakes  (oh, those lines *are* straight, it is the cabinet which has been made wonky :snooty: )

I know you can do it!!!!!! So, Best of British my friend, and I can't wait to see how it all looks when it is completed :dbgrtmb:

Many thanks for all comments :),

Its taken me nearly all day but ive got it done,

One slight mistake on a internal corner by the time id cut one side of the wallpaper off and was going to level the return up it had set and was ripping the lining paper off and its slightly running out of level,

The wife didn't notice until I pointed it out, if it bothers me that much in the coming days I will redo it, its only three pieces and I have enough paper left.

@martin-f It's looking good mate but I would fetch them 3 pieces down and re-do them before the paper sticks because you know them are there and it will bug you otherwise, after the hard work you've put in :)...plus we buy 28" roll wallpapers and they're great.

@martin-f Well I think you've done a smashing job but if you can buy rolls of wall paper in them lengths I've mentioned for the future, they're better to work with and it's done quick and shorter lengths :)

Many thanks, my wife has wanted this wallpaper for 30yrs now :yikes: you try telling her she can only have certain lengths :blue thumb:, last time I told her she could only have a certain length she told to me stop telling fisherman's tails

Due to my satellite tv hobby there will be two TV in this room the one on the wall is my TV, I was going to put it behind a mirror but decided to leave it open and play a 4K fish tank screensaver on it when I'm not messing with satellite tv,

It looks quite effective I also can have any picture I want on screen with it being framed its hard to tell its a TV my friend came round the other day and said I love the fish tank,

But yes TV was always on as wife was sat there through most of the build as I was always working late.

I've done some electrical work today, ive extended the ring main and connected the fused spur up for the downlights,

The lights are voice controlled and app controlled as well as manual there on smart switches and can be operated from anywhere in the world as long as I have a internet connection, another two parts of the ring main to extend in different parts of the living room.

Slowly getting towards the end of this project, oak floors down just one bit to finish, new door installed,

Ive more or less rewired the living room and installed five double usb sockets, due to my hobby run lots of satellite cables in, the cables will be hidden in a writing bureau ive bought for all my equipment to go in.
