:thud: :wow: is there no limits to your talents :). That's a very creative idea you have and makes perfect sense, of course, for it to find another life if you can't sell it. I'm sure we will all look forward to your pictures :)

I decided this afternoon to make a pitched roof to screw to a pergola support over the bird feeder tray. This is to keep the naffin' wood pigeons from landing on it and scoffing all the seed and meal worms I leave out for "our favourites," although the birds have another feeder in one of the patio pots. Just needed to cut a couple of bits of plywood, fit together with a bit of 2" X 1" plus a bit more to attach it to the post and then cover it with some scraps of roofing felt, fixed in place with my trusty hand tacking gun.

Wrong! The gun had given up the ghost and I'd only had about forty years of use out of it. So I had to use short felt nails.

Ornamental grasses with Crocosmia and Heleniums or the such like growing through them. Be good for Froggies and baby Birdies to hide in too. Might even tempt a :hhog:.

Strong, vicious, sleet laden winds today. Not brave enough to attempt gardening, just kept Birdies topped up with food and fresh water. Still blowing strong tonight but should be better tomorrow.

Went to hardware store this morning and bought a Pickeral Rush for the new pond. I chose this particular plant because it had a baby water snail and a clump of snail eggs clinging to side of the pot.

I would never have thought of using a satellite dish to make a pergoda. Would probably have turned it into to a bird bath or a wildlife pond :snorky:

Today I've also rescued/ pricked out 18 self seeded foxgloves from an abandoned pot that probably had housed annuals. I love foxgloves:spinning:and free plants:blue thumb:
I started digging over the raised bed, high one, with a hand trowel. Started feeling a blister coming so left the rest for "Ron" as in later....:heehee:. ( I'm such a wuss these days )
After that I top dressed a few shrubs in pots topped the bird bath up and retreated into the warmth:coffee:

I sowed more onion seeds. The last lot only gave me three seedlings. I also sowed some milkweed for butterflies and some supersteak tomato seeds.
