              Reminds me.

Whenever I'm in the middle of a project, the last one was getting thenew boiler boxed in with a new door and cornice to match the rest of the kitchen, my wife will come out with one of her, "What I thought was," then go into the description of another project that will take time, cost money and stop me otherwise enjoying myself.

"Strike whilst the iron's hot" tactics don't work with me.

Hmm... I noticed those two little 'erberts with the pointy hats have ****ed off, didn't they fancy lending a hand?

IMG_2192.JPG Got up to Cleethorpes today to sort out my great grandads grave. Didnt have all the tools I wanted but managed to make it a little tidier. The plaque hasn't arrived in time so will take it next time and put some weed suppressant, border and stones down.

Made an improvement anyway and the wet and forget will start to improve the stone over time (i hope). Planted some hyacinth bulbs that had started sprouting and some iris bulbs. Sure they'll be ok-can always grow back next year. Also planted some primulas.

                          IMG_3966.JPG

Also sprayed wet and forget on all my grandmas paths as I dont want her slipping outside.

Then had a stinking migraine so recovering on the sofa now. :(

Digging, digging and a bit more digging :phew:
I finished the high raised bed, it was totally compacted so I was balancing on the sleepers with my trusty ladies fork. It was supposed to be a no dig bed but.....:mute:
Then I attacked ' the problem bit'. About 3x 1.5 m of heavy clay. For 20 years I've been trying to tame this bed and it's still winning :yikes: It wouldn't be so bad but it's right in your eyeline as you walk out of the back door :frown:
Then to give my back a break I sowed some more sweet peas :snorky:

A good job well done, Snorky, I hope you feel better soon.

The mention of seeds always reminds me of this image. As a teenager, I often made the journey by train from Wimbledon to Kingston. On the way, the train on an escarpment passed through Raynes Park, immediately after the station there was acre upon acre of open country and slap bang in the middle of it about a mile away, was this huge building, "Carter's Tested Seeds." You could read it on the side, but not this view..
