It looks lovely Woo :). I'm sure Mrs Woo is very impressed with all your hard work and diligence. Well done, you deserve a good long rest and maybe :Wino: or two.

I did a bit more digging to make the bog garden slightly deeper. Went to the hardware store for aquatic compost and a basket. Also slid a tray of Primrose and a Lemon Thyme into the trolley. Once back home I added more organic compost and bark chippings around the spring bulbs I discovered around the soakaway area. Then turned my attention to potting up the Pickeral Rush. As I was leaning over looking down into the pond I saw what I thought was a dead earthworm lying on the gravel. It was white. I reached in to fish it out and it promptly wriggled between my fingers and starting burrowing into the sand/gravel . Anyone know what this worm might be ?

Thanks for the link @Gail_68 :blue thumb:

I have spent the morning clearing the vines and weeds around the back and side of our greenhouse. It is clear the previous owners of the house were not gardeners and have left this to overgrow for years.
I found an old swing set and some sort of decorative garden frame along with several panes of greenhouse glass and an old plastic patio table, also found about 50 stacked up large paving slabs which were hidden by an overgrown thorn hedge, meaning when I get the hedge replaced with a fence, I am going to have another strip of 3 foot of garden down the side of the greenhouse, so I think I am going to build a few cold frames down there when the time comes.

It rained last night so I wasn't going to do much, I had a bit of a tidy up while I was giving my jukeboxes a bit of "burst." These they need to be given work to do. It's the best form of preventative maintenance. In the winter they are always tucked up under their blankets with a 60w inspection lamp burning sitting on the bottom of the cabinets, together with a box of re-chargeable moisture absorbing crystals, to ward away damp. The heat also stops the oil in the motors thickening. I also gave them a bit of a "lube job," you even have to use special oils for this job.
Then a clean and a polish of the chrome and glass with carnauba wax polish.

They get a lot more use in the summer, particularly in the evenings, though never late. I don't have them on too loud as the bass from their two 12" speakers in each, does tend to carry, though no neighbour's house is nearer than 100 ft away.

This one will be fifty years old next year. It's the one my youngest son, "has a sticker on."

When you consider all this can be replaced with a second hand third generation i-Pod you could buy on e-Bay for a few quid......

I just cut the lawn. Between the badgers digging it up and molehills and anthills there's not much left of it

Badgers? Moles? Anthills? :ideaIPB: Zigs, you are sitting on a fortune, why not start a commercial wildlife park with guided tours, badger watching nights with local wine and ... erm... ant petting for the young ones?

Our gardening has happened today in the kitchen, plenty of seed sowing and potting-onning and as a result, decision to erect the blowaway greenhouse (minus the cover) indoors to house the plants. It's still possible to open the french windows, and in the end, a little yoga is apparently beneficial.

Please please can we have warmer nights or at least a bit less snow now? :hotsun:

I know the feeling so many 'worm casts' here, not dry enough to brush up! They just smear
