Dunno where else to post this. When my old PVR crashed, I lost quite a few saved films including Amelie, but I found a copy on e-Bay the other day for £1.74 including postage. Something to watch next week when the Winter Olympics are over.
I must get another hard drive to back up all the films I have on my HDR now, you can't trust them.

We had a didgystream hard drivePVR, had it for a few years. Then it started to play up, all of a sudden it wouldn't play at all. Couldn't put the recordings on disc so lost a lot. The disc's that you can record on don't last for ever. Some of mine wouldn't play, it kept saying no data on disc.

With a little tinkering you can watch/listen to anything you want online for free, i don't bother saving anything its online if i want it.

I'm not sure if I've seen that one, Martin. They were showing the Mars Expeditions today on PBS in the program Nova, which are usually pretty good.:snorky:

Watched Trust Me I'm a doctor, as we get older we lose bone mass and our bones break easier. The best exercise to do is dancing or Zumba.

                      I felt quite old today.

I watched my recording of the latest episode of Rizzolli and Isles about the police in Boston Mass.
Part of the plot was that as the car they were using had broken down, the garage mechanic loaned them his vintage car, about which they went into raptures. It was a 1980 Alfa Romeo 2ltr Giulietta in "fire engine red."

I had one of those in exactly the same colour, the weather must be better in Boston as mine rusted to death within five years, well.. I only got £500 in PX for it, but I loved that car.

There's a lot of track cycling scheduled on the BBC red button over the next few days. It's a round of the World Cup, from the Netherlands. A sport in which we've always done quite well.
The star at the moment is twenty year-old Katie Archibald, she of the multi-coloured hair. A very talented and unprepossessing young lady, finished and won the Madison last year in Glasgow, with her partner Manon Lloyd after both being involved in a crash after a few laps, she fractured her wrist, but carried on.

I'm just hoping that Clare Balding is not presenting another sport about which she knows naff-all, but is well liked by the BBC.

Watching "Talking Pictures" channel - mostly black and white British "B" movies from the fifties and early sixties. Hilarious and dire but addictive.
I can't believe I was brought up on this.
We had five cinemas in Chester then. I used to go to the cinema three times a week and we always had a feature film, a "B movies and the Pathe news. Continuous programming so you could watch the films over again if you went early enough. We certainly got our monies worth!
