      Another lovely, sunny day with a slight breeze blowing so I ventured into the garden - at long last. :SUNsmile: 7C/45F

            I won't say I'm a coffee addict, I do have a cup of black Nescafé , no sugar, first thing in the morning, that's just to wake me up. But we like a cappuccino at a more civilised time of the day. Sometimes again in the evening, rather than the endless cups of tea, I otherwise make.

            I use Taylor's Rich Italian beans. We've a burr grinder and I only grind enough beans for immediate use. We did have a Kitchenaid Artisan coffee machine for ten years, it wasn't cheap, but it was getting expensive to repair every couple of years. The last quote was for over £130 which was about half the price of the new Smeg I bought to replace it. Which was less than half the price of a new Kitchenaid and although much smaller with only one boiler, it's good enough for us now and makes a better cup of coffee.

            Coffee is getting progressively more expensive, so whenever Sainsbury's have it on promotion I can save about £1.50 a pack and add a few to my trolley. Because of her disability, I do the shopping with a "list" provided by my wife, but I do tend to add things I think we need that aren't on the list, which often gets criticised. She puts everything away on my return, as only she knows, "where it goes."

            We use at least a pack a week. (I'm often dragooned into making coffees for my wife's female friend visitors).

            Anyway, as I was going out the door on Thursday, on the weekly shopping trip, my wife shouted out;

            "Don't get any more coffee beans if they're on promotion!"

            "Why not?"

            "Because I've counted eleven packets in a cupboard!"

            Whoops!

                            Sitting in the conservatory sweating again.:biggrin:
                            Only just above 4c outside but in shelter and in the sun you could sit out there, the sun is really warming up now.
                            Was slightly warmer last night at minus 2c, .

                                Absolutely clear bright blue skies, with no cloud or haze, while the Sun is big and bright but givng no warmth that you can feel. The temperature has reached 41f but it feels more like 14f:hate-shocked::dunno:
                                while the pressure reading is 1009hpa.:coffee::snorky:
