He has now had to come it and clear most of it up and I have had to take the allotment bag into the house to dry everything out.I expect the garage will be a soggy puddle of water when it all thaws out.

      Men who would have them:snorky:

I watched the BBC news last night. I couldn't believe the fuss some numpty female reporter was making over the bit of snow in the road in which she was standing. Yes, I know some areas were bad, but it didn't warrant the fuss she was making from where she was reporting. "Dramatic licence," I guess.

        Talk about "snowflake generations."

Now back in 1963, it was bad, driving was a bit tricky even in North London where we lived at the time. There was a ridge of snow down the centre of the road about two feet high, but the nation just got on with it, without all the fuss.,

We had one of these at that time, a red and white one, great in the summer, as you could drive with the doors open. Three speed column change and bench front seat. Rear seats were deckchairs until I made another bench seat for it. Such a smooth and quiet engine.

Then I traded up to one of these, the first mini car. Exactly the same, old but immaculate, regularly did the run from Manchester to London a few times a year. M1 and M6 with the nightmare journey between the two motorways through Brownhills.

It's freezing, hailing, accompanied by snow being blown off roofs and trees by strong easterly winds.

P.S. Campsites open in 2 weeks! :hapfeet:

Shoveled my drive and path clear at lunch time, that was a mistake! First we got the freezing rain then it's been snowing steadily for an hour. Can hear all the kids outside at least they are enjoying it.
