        @Irmemac I found out in the end his night howling was done with the neighbours cat, good job I had him strangled :heehee: (castrated)...that's a bit mean over cheese cakes :dunno: he and the dog got treated once a week, the cat with a cheese cake and the dog a trifle :whistle:

        Yes bobby liked his cat food and biscuits but no fish...oh he turned to sharing my dogs pedigree chum dried food also...weird :hate-shocked:

              Hi Gail - short answer is "Sago is a Silver Bengal".
              Longer version answer (haha) if you go to page 59 of this thread (first 2 posts)
              You'll see Shiney's "Visitor" is a Snow Bengal, and my other little monster, Molly, is a "Brown rosetted" Bengal. Plus I've given some background information about the background and 3 different types.

                  @Gail_68

                  It's nigh on impossible to be sure if a regular mixed breed cat has any Bengal in them. not least because some of the British Short Hair (BSH) breeds can have similarish stunning markings, although mostly striped. And because your photo is not closer, and also it's hard to make out if her rear half is stripey, because of the BSH being more established and a much larger population, that is the higher probability. Also a high proportion of Bengal owners keep them as indoor cats, not least because they can wander off for weeks at a time to establish a territory of up to 2 or 3 miles!! Fortunately for me, Sago is too lazy to go for long "walkies" and hunting :D

                    Bengals are expensive to buy and I have noticed a lot of the owners around here put them out thinking they're ok...i'll look at your pic's you've stated when it's quieter and also i'll be having my evening meal soon :yes:

                      I'm not an expert by any means, but I'd bet on BSH mix - and probably several generations ago.

                      Yes, with Bengals costing up to 4 figures (we were lucky to adopt them for free) they are at high risk of being pinched (if you can catch the B*****S, plus they don't start howling down the neighbourhood).

                      The BengalCatClub on facebook have a welfare officer who regularly posts for any needing re-homing. The down-side being that many are seeking homes because of either "behavioural problems" which the owners can't cope with, or older cats previously owned by breeders. The up-side being most of the problems are potentially resolvable. Again, we were lucky that Sago and Molly needed a new home because the owners were moving abroad and couldn't take them with them.
