I'm not sure who's face was more of a picture: his, trudging along with determination or mine as my jaw dropped thinking, "What is he *doing*? "
It's a lovely memory to have (well, for me it is and I have a feeling our @Zigs saw the funny side of it too ).

Whilst coach driving I had a residential holiday visit with school children. In the evening my colleague and I would drop them off at the hotel and park across the other side of town. When we got back the children would tell us what the option were for dinner. One evening one boy told us that the soup was something beginning with "S". It turned out to be a-Sparagus. Kids eh?
