Not our cat! :dunno: although he does catch the occasional mouse, squirrel and rabbit. :blue thumb: Most of his time is spent sleeping in the heated propagator.

He was sheltering the ground with his body whilst he was digging. Steps back to admire his work and the rain fills the hole. :ideaIPB: Simples!

I wasn't quite into his 'six thinking hats' theory as I'm more of a 'divergent' and 'convergent' theory man.

Actually, I'm more an 'Out of the Box' fan

It's been dry overnight so hopefully the ground has dried enough to get on. If so it's on with planting the raspberry canes and strawberry plants that arrived Friday, may also get shallots and onion sets planted. Then we'll see as turning damper later.

I've been moving pots around the patio.
I remember one year one of my brothers asked for a "Thinking Cap" for Christmas :heehee:

Looking good Gail.......relax! still a bit early to panic about clematis or bottle brushes. Clematis are growing here but we are 2 or 3 weeks earlier than you.
Clematis often look dead right now but from those apparently lifeless stems new growth will emerge :)

Productive day until rain stopped play. Mainly more sorting and tidying - I wish it would stay dry long enough for the patio to dry out so I can give it a good sweep before powerwashing it in a couple of weeks time. Also painted and erected my birthday present from my parents; my dad built me a staged planter, which they dropped off flatpack last week.

Current plan is to add a lavender and maybe a strawberry to the bottom tier, keep the middle one for herbs and use the top one for lettuce/other leafy veg.

Moved the coop around and added 2 new girls yesterday.. been back and forth keeping eye on them all day

Wall will go ahead tomorrow.. apparently! Please don't rain, snow, hail, sub zero temps..etc etc! :fingers crossed:

It’s been a lovely day today. My total gardening consisted of taking a bag of compost and a tub of screenwash out of my car and putting them in the shed. Apart from that I’ve been working (not a bad thing) and decorating in the interim gaps.

On my daily garden inspection I noticed this:
                                46122FCB-7133-4FD6-B3B8-E5A0CE07E56E.jpeg

I don’t remember putting these daffodils here. They have clearly been moved because the compost is fresh. It seems strange how they are in a straight line and the compost is in the wrong place. Perhaps I did it in my sleep.

                                G.

Ps While I have this aspect on show, just in the corner of the cage is where I’m considering growing a catnip box. I could bury the box in the bark chippings for tidiness.

                                G.
