I didn't like the first few bars (didn't think they were my style) but, after a bit, they sort of grew on me

    Nice catch!

Get with the program dear, I posted it two pages ago :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Anyway, here's a shamefully neglected gem from the '80s.....................

It doesn't happen very often but sometimes I just fancy a bit of "pomp rock" and it doesn't get much better than this when I do..............

A great cover of an ABBA track by Ash from the '90s.................

Spawn was a crap film but it did have a terrific soundtrack. It featured collaborations between rock bands and (cutting edge) dance/electronica bands..................

And staying in the '90s, one of my faves...............

        :dunno:
Do you *know* how long this thread takes to load (village style?)

Any road up ... so good, posting it twice just makes it ... double the joy :pathd: :heehee:

To be honest, I never really *got* Joe Cocker ... his hand waving didn't do it for me; plus, I only got to hear him in his latter years. The Woodstock vid gave him a different dimension (for me); but, that hand waving .... ? Still annoying!

Dire Straits? NOW I'm hearing you! :dbgrtmb: Had the joy of being at their final "tour" :wub2:

Yup - I have the same problem here!

In my previous post I was talking of collaborations and I've just dug this classic out..............

Back to the '80s again this evening.
The Waterboys can either be incredible or woeful live depending on Mike Scotts mood. Thankfully they were incredible every time that I've seen them...........

This was one of John Peels favourites............

Post Undertones Feargal Sharkey recorded this with Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Erasure fame................

One that I love playing, mainly because it is one of very few instrumentals banned by the BBC! :snorky:

@Sheal they may have done, but I've never heard a version by them. The one I posted is the original version.
