Guanajuato is dark blue Gail....I posted a few pictures last year. Tender. Flowers all summer at about 150 cm. Prob the best blue salvia :)
Salvia Patens Cambridge is worth checking out too if you like blues; it has pale blue flowers that look good with grasses like festucas, pennisetum villosum and others

Beautiful.. Orange and a true blue are my favourite planting combinations. Do you have any pictures? Will remember to pop in to the national dahlia collection when I'm down your way in May. :) It's been on my list for a while

Not usually one who buys plants from Morrisons but I have done.
A couple of points....they are not "hardened off" so need to be kept indoors during night time and gradually aclimatised over a week or two. Plus, I pot them on. Soak them, loosen roots if congested and pot them into bigger, ideally deeper, pots. By May they will have filled their new pots.
A good clematis for partial shade is Nelly Moser. A real gem :)

Their 'house plants' (including pots of flowering bulbs) are normally very good quality and value, and were my first port of call a couple of days ago when Mrs Scrungee was after a pot of Hyacinths for her in-laws to give as a thank you present.

P.S. I wonder if Bunnings sufficiently hardened off these plants? What will they be like by Easter?

Do Morrisons have their perennials in the *GC* listed stores now? Or is it just climbers?

B&M are excellent for cheap source of a wide range of perennials. Get them now in 9cm pots and pot them on for fast growth to make large plants for the summer.:)

@Verdun Which is the longest flowering/truest blue of the Eryngiums in your experience? Big Blue?

                              Yes I think you're right Mark :)
Have you grown Jade Frost? For the past 3 years this has flowered most of the summer with a couple of differences.....the flowers are more pinky blue, quite unusual for eryngiums; the foliage is a bonus......variegated cream, pink foliage.
But.....Not sure what the Beast from the East has done this year to them or what yesterday's snow has done. Never had cold weather or snow like it and I think Jade Frost is less hardy. I will be very disappointed if I have lost it!!!
