Not really in the garden ( more in my living room :) ) ......

Potted up a bare rooted Hibiscus Bluebird, 6 Trailing Begonia corms , sown seeds..... Rhodochiton, Dianthus, Salvia, Cleome, Cerinthe, Emilia, Schizanthus, Didiscus, Oryzo.

Also in my living room had to move furniture around as I'm having a large sideboard delivered on Wednesday.

Bought and potted up 18 primroses that I bought from the reduced section at B&Q. £4.

Bought a standard gooseberry bush and then realised I haven't got a big enough pot to put it in.
So it's back shopping tomorrow after work.

Bright sunny day so did my wage earning first thing and spent most of the afternoon testing all of the solar controllers, sockets, and dc fans. Threw out all the duds. Another step toward preparing the little greenhouses for the beginning of May. :)

Beautiful sunny day here but still very cold and not really in mood for gardening as had to take one of the rats to be PTS.:cry3:. Had my day peering session into the pond, fed the birds and sorted hedgehogs. Misted my seedlings, can't believe how fast they sprouted after sowing, just 3 days.

Just had a look around, bulbs are all doing nicely including our giant lilies which are just showing their heads above the ground. Once it gets warmer I'm going to reduce the number of bluebells we have "everywhere," they've multiplied over the last forty years. They do look attractive, but after flowering I hate having to clear away all that slimy foliage.
Resisted the temptation to do any hoeing, as I never know what's still to be coming up.

Decided I would sow some more seeds ( cosmos - cleome - black pansy - anagallis - melons again - primula auricula ) while the GH was warm , to warm for me.

I was going to call that a do for today but got a bit carried away when I walked past the pyracantha, need training / pruning so got that done. While I had the secateurs in my hand I walked past the climbing paul scarlett rose which I then had the urge to prune, cause I've done one might as well do the other 4 roses

Just mowed the lawn, but the lawn mower didn't like some of the snow drifts by the hedge "snow plough"

Potted up a Achillea, two Angels Fishing Rods, a Primrose bulleyana, 12 Fuchsia plug plants, and then potted on 3 Painted Ferns. After a mug of Tea, and wanting to plant 3 newly arrived Foxtail Lilies, I had a furckle around in the area where, last year, I had planted around 10 Foxtail Lilies and where some were already pushing big fat "buds" above the soil to discover which ones had failed. I was happy to find that only two had failed and so planted the new roots in their place while having to find a new spot for the 3rd. I was also happy to find when gently removing the surface soil several more Foxtail Lily "buds" pushing up so I covered them up again and let them get on with it.:coffee: As an afterthought I filled 5 seed trays with compost, tamped them down, and brought them indoors to warm up overnight so that i can sow my Tomato seeds and some Hardy Perennials tomorrow.:hapydancsmil::snorky:
