Can anyone recommend a cctv system, please?

Preferably wireless with 2 cameras (one for back garden, one for front - mainly on my car which is parked on the road, roughly 6 meters away) and no dvr - can be accessed on phone/laptop. Ideally, I'd like them to be inside the home so don't want a reflection off the window and to stop damage. Budget around £300. Have never had one before so new to setting up and the features.

So far I have found an Arlo pro which is slightly over budget, ring spotlight but it is wired and only one cam, swann pan and tilt wireless but again only one cam. There was also an electriq one (around 150 on laptopsdirect I think with 2 cams and dvr) but I have never heard of this make and seems cheap.

    TA :)

Thanks For the link Martin, never thought of using ebay. Its given me something to go off :blue thumb:

I think the ones in the link might be a bit too "sticky outty" and will soon be target for footballs.. but I like the fact you can link it up to a pc and use that for a hard drive. Whats this zoom all about? Is it literally zooming in on ones face and seeing eyelashes :dunno: :heehee:

Hi Linz basically yes for zooming into whatever you want, this is the one i will be getting for the back garden, mainly just for any wildlife that might turn up.

That's some crazy detail and quality! :blue thumb:

The more I look at them the more I fancy the Netgear Arlo, it seems like it would be a bit of a plug in and play sort of tech rather than wiring up and setting up channels, which I probably could do.. but I could do without the faff tbh

I dont know nowt about cctv good bad or ugly but it may be worth looking at the Gearbest website for good cheap systems. They were selling amazingly cheap and good cctv a few months ago.
Not megadeals now but look not too shaby.

That website is rather cheap! @martin-f there was the flureon cams on there at a good price.

                  If anyone was actually interested..
I've opted for a Swann pan and tilt wifi camera, it was a good price plus there's no faff with wires or a dvr. You can save the recordings to an sd card or to the swan always safe app. Theres a slight reflection off the window but I'm not all that bothered. Yet to see what it's like in the night but so far it does the job I need it too and depending on how it is in the night I might get another for the back garden.

Yes nothing wrong with swan Gail its a good make, but you will get a glare using it at night pointing outdoors, the IR sensors shine on the glass and it makes the picture blurred.

You must have disabled the IR sensor then Gail or its a day only camera, if the outside is not lit up by a street light or something you wouldn't see anything without the IR sensor, and when its on it puts a big glare across it, lets see how Linz goes hope its ok for her :fingers crossed:.

Trustpilot only give swann a 0ne star, reading the reveiws customer service is poor

Had no idea if it was a good make or not tbh I was looking for a simple wireless cam and it came up a few times

I see the 1* reviews are on trust pilot.. which I normally go by but the camera systems they are complaining about sound like they are the wired ones with more than 2 cams and a dvr and possibly with a premium service? The one I have is a plug in and go type.

Martin your right about the infrared if it's on its like this.

                                20180323_205330.png

But if you knock it off..

                                20180323_205422.png

Reflections quite bad and I need to move it to the upper part of the window so it's not right on my neighbours opposite.. don't want to pee them off.. but for grabbing it out the box, plonking it on the windowsill, connecting it to Wi-Fi and an app it really ain't bad. I'm 4 miles away right now and I'm having emails when the motion detection is going off (blimmin cats, need lower the detection settings) with a 30 sec video clip attached.. I really can't grumble
