I'm always on the go Gail, never seem to be able to stop for very long. And, even when I do stop I'm thinking about what I should be/could be doing. I don't feel like I achieved very much today but every little helps I guess.

Glad you got some time today to get your new Viburnums sorted :)

I've done 20 minutes of tidying up directly after filling up the bird feeders at 6 a.m. One of our robins hopped onto my shoulder, tweeted in my ear, and left a present on my shoulder! :rolleyespink: :snorky:

My buddleia isn't looking too happy. Some of the leaves have gone brown and dropped. The rest are looking a bit dull and shrivelled. It was looking rather good the other day.

Is it davidii Gary? Relax....it is a real toughie :)

Inspected a few perennials in pots under fleece .....some are growing very well, some beginning to shoot and some looking quite dead (as expected really, I dont think many if any are dead just later; well, as usual) . Potted on some too :)

Will pot up lettuce seedlings, prick out others and make more sowings of cosmos

However, top priority......welcoming 8 week old Nico, a golden retriever puppy. :)

I did a bit, as it was quite mild, I planted out this Paradiso clematis in the tub by the front door.
It replaced one that didn't do much, which was "free" with another three years ago. I'm going to train it along the wire under the bay window.

The main one is a Mayleen, which hangs over the front door.

I gave the tea-house, a good clean and checked for any rot, but didn't find any, the finish looks a bit dull at the moment, so I may give it another coat of Dulux mahogany Woodsheen once the weather warms up. It will be thirty-one years old this summer.

It was also an opportunity to give my two jukeboxes "a good work out," they like to be used, but don't get much attention other than in the summer.

I'm still pleased with my choice of a polymer non-tear roofing felt I used when I re-did it ten years ago. It still looks as good as new.

I've planted up 3 baskets and would normally put them in the greenhouse, but this year I'm not sure what with the cold temps :noidea:
The plug plants I used have been indoors, they are ivy geraniums, petunias, daiscia and isotoma.
Any advice? In inclined to bring them in for a bit longer but with space becoming an issue they would be in a north facing window:dunno:

Spent the afternoon hunting for an obelisk for my new climbing rose ("warm welcome"). No joy so far; all the ones I liked were too wide at the base for the pot it's in. It'll be a few weeks yet before it needs the support, but it's bugging me all the same!

Ventured to Wyevale and spent the free £5 voucher that's limited to this weekend only.. two 9cm Eryngium Planum. Another family member has given me their gardening club card & voucher so I should be able to go again tomorrow.. but a different store in case ;) may go for a pot of more alliums (already have so many purple sensation but they are my absolute favourites) or some wildflowers

Loki, I would leave them for a little longer if possible but a north facing window would be ok if not too cold.
I appreciate the lack of space too....I am juggling with potted on plants, cuttings, etc. and deciding what plants will cope better with slightly cooler conditions. A gh, a conservatory, cold frames, temporary polytunnel and mini plastic/glass home made protecting units all being used
I keep door open now on gh to help harden off plants on mild days. Yep! All a juggling act.

Mark, love Purple Sensation too. Had a few around geum Totally Tangerine that I think contrast well
