I've just sown another 14 Big Zacs ( destined for Shineyland ) should they germinate? Sown some tumbling toms for family and friends and sown some San Marzano..... WHICH ARE STRICTLY FOR ME!

Hi Snorky, wait till the first true leaves appear, they are too delicate before that. Yours look leggy, not enough light and too warm maybe? The weather is good enough for them to go outdoors during the day at the moment, that helps them get natural light.

Also how many plants do you need? I suspect you have too many seedlings and you could thin them out to give them more space.

Thanks @JWK They are in my conservatory but the last couple of days it has been warmer and they have shot up. I'll pop them outside as you suggest and put in the slightly heated greenhouse so they are cooler than the conservatory. I'll thin out the cherry toms too. :blue thumb:

Plum toms, heavy toms, mini-bush/trailing container toms and some more cordon toms sown this morning. That's my lot for this year.

Flowers on Micro Toms have been opening for a few days now. Hoping for first ripe fruits in April.

Earliest sown cordon toms now approx 150mm/6" high, and that's after burying then at each potting on stage.

In the past, I grew lots of varieties, but these days I just stick with ones that do well for me, and taste good. That’ll be ‘Sungold’ and ‘Tumbling Tom’.

Same here, Freddy, I used to grow all sorts of varieties but gradually came back to the tried and trusted varieties that suited my taste.:snorky:

I'm sure in a few years time I'll stick to 2/3 but for now I'll keep experimenting
