        Love this @shiney. You learn something new every day even at my advanced age:). Certainly over the last few hellish days of weather when both our cats have been invited outside, from the looks I got it was quite obvious they thought me stark staring bonkers to even imagine they would wish to sally forth! They of course were completely correct as the times I have been outside were, what's the word? ........a very rude version of not nice:)

          Two years ago we were in Bhutan and we went to a village where all the houses were still the old fashioned style with straw roofs. Our guide told us that they still kept their livestock on the ground floor because of the harsh winters in the Himalayas. So I asked him if the cats and dogs sleep in the roof. He said that they do because they get underfoot on the first floor. He asked me why I had asked as he said nobody had ever asked that question. So I told him about our saying about raining. He said that it still happens occasionally there but it was usually caused by snow. He thanked me for telling him and said that he would use the story in his info in future. :)

          Sarafi, the cat that thinks he owns us and our garden although he lives four doors away, in never bothered by rain or snow. Yesterday he was strolling through the puddles on the lawn, in the pouring rain, and came and insisted on being stroked. He was absolutely soaking wet!

                    :rain::rain::rain: Currently 5 degrees in York, and this is as high as it's going to get today. It's been raining on and off for 2 days.
