Quick visit to the beach....dry, bright and all the smells of spring. Watched rabbits galore and then realised I was being watched, by a fox. :)
Have to pick up some paint to finish off a room then hoping to get into the garden this pm.
Hope everyone has a good day :)

Got nothing done out there yesterday apart from getting 8 x 70 litre bags of compost for potting up.

I'll stroll round the garden to see what needs doing - weeding always needs doing

          How frustrating is this???
Did some minor repairs, adjustments to one bedroom wall and intended to paint just that one. Then I found the paint I already had was far less full than I expected so went to paint distributor to get paint mixed only to find the colour didnt match......old paintwork had faded somewhat. Now its a whole room, coated twice, to do.
A job I expected to take an hour will now take me a day, maybe two. And its looking good outside too for a spot of lawn mowing etc.:noidea:

Humph. Been excited waiting for the sun to come out so I can get gardening and now it's out it's windy and I can't get motivated. What's up with me?

Sounds like a case of cobwebitis, @Snorky85. Put your big girls pants on, get out there, and let the wind blow your cobwebs away...!
(Says she who is nursing her cuppa, to put off going out to do some gardening on a windy day)!

He he, made myself get outside and on with it. Managed to plant up one of my heuchera troughs ready to fight vine weevil, started on the second (found shed loads of vine weevils!!) and a big storm has come over. Decided to pot up some bits inthe cozy greenhouse instead :)

Mmm I managed to get a couple of acres of grass cut - will have to do the rest when it stops raining. Wonder if I could find some painting to do ... :snorky: or just :snooze: maybe

I injected some much needed colour into the front beds. I have just stuck plants in gaps for now. Next year I will have to think about where I want things to live. I also weeded as I went along.

With the greenhouse in position, we measured up the garden and ordered some railway sleepers that will be turned into flower beds to cover up the concrete base of the garden fence. Then went to Wilko in the hope that we could make the most of their 150L of MPC for £6 to fill them up with, only to find them completely out of stock. Managed to get two bags of Smart Ground Cover though, that we've previously used in the main flower bed.

Finally starting to make the garden look like the vision I've had in my head for months. Slowly but surely.
