        Aloha everyone,

You should enjoy working on your range cooker. They make things so much easier :blue thumb:

Good luck with your eye test and your patient panel group.

We've had a workman week. :heehee:

Had oven cleaning man round on Wednesday to clean the lower oven on the range as it's too low for me and it's hard work cleaning it. It took him nearly two hours and he removed the wall linings, roof and floor, dipped them all in the cleaning chemicals, cleaned the walls, roof and floor behind the liners, cleaned the cover over the light and replaced the dead bulb, and cleaned the door and the shelves. It cost £50 which I think was well worth it.

Yesterday was the six monthly maintenance on the aircon and took four hours :rolleyespink:. Also, a friend came round to fix our outside drainage pipe from the kitchen sink as it's leaking from the upper joint. He was going to replace it as it appeared that the joint was loose. It should have been easy to remove the lower pipe from the joint and then reseal it. Unfortunately it wasn't loose but it's cracked just below the joint. This means that it's unlikely to be able to remove the part inside the joint and to do the job properly we would need to replace the joint - which would mean cutting it out of the brickwork etc. He's going to try and seal the break instead. :fingers crossed:

Today we have the carpet man coming to clean the carpets. This hasn't been done since we put them in decades ago. :hate-shocked:

This has made me feel tired so shall go for a rest :snorky:

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

Thank you @moyra and @shiney my friends, last year I said to the specialist your not putting any drops in my eyes and he said ok then I can't do it,so I said ok see you next year then,he said hang on I might be able to to do it without the drops, and he was able to do it,so I don't know what all the fuss was about;)

The meeting should be interesting as two doctors have retired early (this week)both suffering with stress related factors :dunno::smile:

@Tetters I'm no longer capable of doing these jobs. Any bending down and leaning forward is out! So the hard work on the oven isn't possible. Shampooing the carpets takes not only bending forwards but lifting and moving furniture, so that's not possible.

So I'm now going into the garden to do some pressure hosing. :heehee: I can do that as I bought a 3ft extension for the pressure hose lance so that I can remain upright whilst working.

Good afternoon @shiney and all my other friends the new cooker is in,had my eyes screened after a lengthy debate with the specialist about putting eye drops my owl like eyes, went early to my meeting, walked round the crowded waiting room to discover that most people had been waiting an hour over their appointment time, and brought this up at the meeting which didn't go down to well,:heehee: enjoy the rest of your day:smile:

@shiney Snap! It`s so frustrating that so many jobs now have to go on the can`t list - the expression ''put can`t in your pocket and pull try out'' simply doesn`t fit the bill any more.
                            Never mind aye :noidea:
