Any thoughts on Felicia as a touch of blue? Would it swamp out everything else?

I've looked at phlox subulata Bavaria from Crocus. It looks very pretty and would go with the purple and white alliums. £6.99 for a 9cm pot is too pricey for me though.

Ha ha Gail, wot u like? I guess I do enjoy the painting but this is a pretty big bungalow and a lot to paint and a lot to get fed up with thus the long face

Gary, felicia amelloides is a lovely, long flowering little plant. Tender although down here it can survive a mild winter. Essentially a patio annual.
I currently am growing a few taken from cuttings last autumn; over the weekend they were moved into 9cm pots and will soon be moved into half litre pots and then will go out into the garden or containers. Not everybody's cup of tea but there is also a variegated variety.
No, they wont "swamp" anything :)

Been a busy bee again. Took me a while to get going today as although it's been warm it's been dull and very very windy. Anyway, got out there and put some rose fertiliser around the roses and dug it in a little. Then did a load of cuttings after reading my lovely Carol Klein book "Grown Your Own Garden". I had a couple of cuttings from my neighbours red and pink camellias (love free plants!). Also did two different types of viburnum and more penstemons. Divided some heucheras and planted them on the outside border at the front. Also dug up a Mahonia that had self sown and planted it on the outside border.

Then I went a bit mad and chopped back two huge hebes and a viburnum.lol oops. They'd got huge and almost tree like. Now they're chopped back down to some fresh growth at the base. Still not sure about the viburnum but have cuttings incase I change my mind.

Had a walk around garden earlier and inspected damage. A few plants battered flat but not as bad as I feared. Still very windy, gusting at 54mph, so only managed to stick two potatoe tubers in a tub.
