Hi @Scrungee , no I didn't dare risk it in the end - I'm glad I didn't! It's been so cold today. It had stopped raining this morning so have been outside as it has forecast rain for the rest of the week here too.

 

Very gloomy with drizzly rain. It's 11C

 

We live in the driest part of the country ,East Anglia........well another big rain tomorrow and cold.
But I have to say the lawns are looking superb at the moment.

 

A cold, windy, cloudy day only reaching 10c and it's nearly May!!!!

 

I might just challenge that at the moment @roders.

We've had next to no rain since the start of April, just dribbles. I've been watering plants outside for weeks and my soil is dust.

Today - wall to wall sunshine again and almost cloudless sky. 19C/66F in my garden this morning falling back to 12C/54F as the sun moved round.

 

We’ve had lots of rain @Sheal, I have seriously been considering buying this book

 

Unfortunately most of the country has been suffering the rain @kazzawazza and we were promised it every day for the last week. With the exception of a couple of light showers that have hardly wet the surface here the weather has been good. It's not stopped the grass growing yet though.

I reckon you could go into business once you've mastered building your first ark.

It's very cold out there, raining later.

 

Grey grey grey! And extremely windy! Suprisingly no rain at the minute.

 

3 Deg C a few minutes before 7:00 am this morning, when BBC forecast was showing 5 deg C, but they only forecast townies' temperatures.

Their overnight forecast is now 2 deg C, so will freezing in rural locations.

I'm going to cover up all my container spuds growing in polytunnels this afternoon and bring home my single stem plant in 2L pots for growing giant potoatoes.

Freezing tempetature and 20 mph winds on an exposed sitr will probably finish what little apple blosdom I have this year.

 

Hubby started his career as a Pattern Maker, so we’re sorted . We will bear you in mind though for other jobs
