I'm a complete technophobic but maybe someone else on here could help with the photo issue who is more technically minded.

I wanted to conceal the harshness of the pond to the border so found some cut logs and placed around the pool. I plan to plant hosta that will soften these logs and as they rot down will make excellent wildlife cover. I moved my old pool to make this and took 25 frogs out of a tiny pool after only 2 years of it being there.
I also finished the path and put in a cement base for the step for when I widen in.
Wet loving plants will fill this border, monarda, candelabra primula, hosta, dog woods, rodgersia etc etc

Seem to have an algae issue as when it floods it washed nutrients from the newly manured border into it. Looks bad, hopefully it will settle.

There is some midge lavea in the water plus tadpoles from that lump of spawn that a transferred from the old smaller pool. From experience the first year you see hardly nothing but as the plant cover grows and the frogs find the holes and nooks they appear. It took 2 years for me to get over 25 frogs in my old pool alone and they are in the garden somewhere so will return.

I've got a couple of spots like that which regularly get waterlogged after heavy rain. Mine drain away very quickly though.

I really like your logs idea :). I would like to do this around part of my pond.
