What about flying squirrels...their from other countries but there is some breeders in this country and it only takes one to get loose or be loosed then you have a new population on your hands and they're night hunters and love trees.

Morning Shiney we've have a singular conifer on it's own on the left of our garden with Ivy from the stem in to the conifer and in all the 10yrs we've been here...the black birds in and out of the both as been going on for that long...so i'm not surprised by your pictures

 

Woo the pic's still show the lovely colours...we've clocked a Robin keep coming and going on our back today...so there's a nest near in the tree's

 

We had a trip to Henllys Wood today, which is Red Squirrel habitat. Two beautiful squizzers around the feeding station plus a Nuthatch and a Woodpecker. The latter having pecked a hole through the bottom of the feeder causing the food to fall out thus gaining free food for himself/ herself. Squizzers decided it was easier than lifting the lid so joined in.

 

Sounds like it was lovely mate and as long as you enjoyed it that's all that counts...was the weather nice to match it

 

When i was photoing the fox i used a security light to alert me he was there, when the light came on the fox was there, no need to use the camera flash that way and scare the subject.

 

Unfortunately weather was cold and grey . Took some nice pics of the flowers and one pic I took of moss on a tree turned out to be stunning ( my perspective, of course ). Squizzers were too far away even with zoom on Roger's big camera, so we had to view them through binoculars. Going back next week when weather might have improved.

Whimbrels, just arrived from Africa, a slimmer relative of the similar resident Curlew but these birds can't stay here for the winter but both breed on the moors in the North.
