Arriving as early as possible is always the best bet because of Bank Holiday traffic. If anyone is coming north on the M11 then it may get busy later as the Duxford Air Show is on. The Dartford Crossing also gets busier later.

@Snorky85 I would suggest that it may be better for you to use the A414 to get to us (rather than M25 - M11 as the M25 may have Bank Holiday traffic on it).

Beckie, Trunky and Jack shouldn't have any problem southbound on M11 but, if you don't already know it, there's a quicker and easier way to get to us from Junction 8 than satnavs usually take you. It avoids the towns of Bishops Stortford and Sawbridgeworth and just takes you through villages (and is a few miles shorter). Some satnavs do take you the right way

Anyone coming north on the M11 can also avoid some local congestion by going through villages.

I'm happy to give easy directions if required.

 

Hi Becklie, Margo is my Cousin, not my sister When I last spoke with her she said she was coming but a lot of things have happened since then so I'll have to phone her to confirm that she's coming. She is great fun and has the family dry, wicked humour that gets us into trouble time and again!!

 

I've booked accommodation at a nearby Farm on Friday night and Saturday night, so I'll drop off some plants for the Open Day on the Friday, and usually get there on the Saturday around 10am and stay for the Indian meal on the Saturday night and drive back to Cheshire on the Sunday
