    You could grow one in a big pot on your patio, use ericeatous compost and the same fertilizer or feed. Don't know about putting the pot in the ground. @Verdun might know.

      I grow huge numbers of Rhododendrons @Jack Sparrow but mine are in the garden . If i were you I would grow dwarf Azaleas in pots rather than Rhododendrons. Some Azaleas are a bit on the tender side but in pots you could shelter them from the worst of the winter. Whatever you choose just remember to plant shallow and water constantly during the summer. If your tap water is very alkali then try and water with collected rain water. Use a peat based ericaceous compost and if you have it loads of leaf mould.

                    Both wisterias at their peak. It's downhill from now on with lots of petals from the one on the back of the house ending up in the koi pool.

                              Things are just starting to grow Luci the blue flowers in the above picture is growing in the pond and the white flower appears to be happy sat under the water pump feature,

                              Ive decided to cover the top lip i have some stone to pickup for the job i will also loose the plastic waterfall and make my own from stone, ive got lots of fine tuning jobs to do around the garden :wallbanging::)
