      Hello FlourishAnn :)
Not tried all of those but I have compared a few varieties.....still think Gardeners Delight is the best. They are disease resistant too, prolific and kids....like me...like 'em :tomato:

@Verdun are you growing Gardener's Delight again this year? You probably spotted our thread about this variety losing it's taste over the last few years and a few of us attempting to grow from old packets. So it's interesting that you still think it's good. I wonder if your higher levels of sunshine in Cornwall suit it. Are you buying new seeds each year or have a stock of old packets?

Hiya John, yes I did read that thread. I used grafted plants last year and I thought were excellent. Touch wood this year's will be too.
You may be right about the sunshine down here.....it is a long growing season. We will see :)

I saw some grafted Gardener's Delight plants recently, it could be the producers start with better quality stock. There is something in my mind that most of the seed packets in the UK are mostly from an inferior (cheaper) supplier. I am now tempted to buy a couple of grafted plants as another variation in my G.D. experimentation.

Do you buy your grafted plans from a national GC chain @Verdun - any clues as to the original supplier would be good. I think grafted toms are all mass produced in Holland.

I would worry about the size of mail order tomatoes Verdun, Sutton's website says May delivery so I wonder how big they are when they arrive. Have you got yours yet ?

            They will grow fast :)
